This package contains three substantial pupil workbooks covering all aspects of personal and work related Finance, preparing for work, identifying skills & attributes for working life, preparing CV's etc. The third booklet covers aspects of Health and Safety in the Workplace and pupils can be awarded an internal certificate for their progress files if completed. These booklets (two accompanied by PPT presentations to help work through tasks) form our Year 11 provision from September to March when revision for GCSE's begins. A short booklet which gets Year 11 pupils thinking about taking responsibility for their own health and wellbeing. Meets the new PSHE guidelines to cover testicular/breast self-examination and end with a task where pupils create their own 'guide' to self-examination.

A word search to introduce aspects of SRE/Drugs/Teenage pregnancy I use this as a lesson starter and as an introduction to a unit of work for Year 11 looking at how alcohol and other substances can affect choices and sexual behaviour; how the media can influence body image; STI's and how to protect against them; the use of various forms of contraception; the consequences of teenage pregnancy; the effect of lifestyle choices on a foetus and issues around consent. The workbook containing a number of activities for Year 11 pupils will be available in the next few days. There will also be an accompanying PPT

A good exercise to begin discussions about equality ad diversity in communities. Task 1 uses a clip of 'Diversity's' first BGT audition Task 2 pupils find diversity and equality in their own class and present their findings

A resource which asks pupils to identify feelings as belonging to those with either high self esteem or low self esteem. They can then choose words from the table to describe times when they have had these feelings. A good starter for further work on self esteem. A matching task to introduce types of intimacy

Good as an extended lesson starter. Introduction to STI's or introduction to more lessons on Chlamydia. INCLUDES INSTRUCTION SHEET ON 2nd PAGE

Pupils must match the salary to the job. This can lead to group discussion about wages/salaries in general and to an investigation where pupils research the salaries of the professions that they would like to enter.

A good introduction to discussion about appropriate relationship progression as part of an SRE Programme of Study

Pupils are asked to consider natural changes to their bodies. They must discuss/decide which changes affect male/female/both. A good starter to open discussion about changing bodies.

A worksheet to use as a cover lesson or as an introduction to Careers Education. Focus is on skills, knowledge and experience and an ability to distinguish between the three.

Pupils are asked to make two piles after cutting out the ingredients. Allow them time to 'debate' whether the ingredients are IN cigarettes or NOT IN cigarettes. Take feedback from group before announcing that they are ALL in cigarettes!
